Itinerary: Sofia - Rila monastery - Bansko - Pamporovo - Plovdiv - Kazanlak - Trjavna - Veliko Tarnovo - Sofia
Day 01: Sofia
•Meeting by the guide at Sofia airport
•Transfer to the hotel
•Dinner and overnight in Sofia
Day 02: Sofia - Rila monastery - Bansko
•After breakfast leave the hotel
•Depart to the majestic Rila Monastery - the biggest and most impressive Bulgarian monastery, dating from the National Revival period (18th-19th centuries)
•The route goes on to Bansko, the newest Bulgarian winter resort, which combines the virgin nature of the Pirin Mountain and the atmosphere of the ancient Bulgarian towns

•In the evening – picnic dinner amidst the beauty of the mountain – unforgettable experience to be welcomed with salt and bread, to enjoy the unique native music and to try delicious local cuisine and best home made wine

Day 03: Bansko - Jagodina cave - Shiroka Laka village - Pamporovo |

•After breakfast the journey continues through the splendid montain sceneries to the South-East
•En-route visit one of the national legends - Kovachevitsa, a small village, famous for its amazing architecture, a tale of stone and wood
•Depart to the Jagodina cave - a walk along the well-lit tourist trail reveals impressive rock formations of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as other shapes resembling stone curtains and cave pearls
•Just before reaching the winter resort Pamporovo stop for visiting the village of Shiroka Laka
•Meeting a local folklore group in the village to feel the mystery of the Rhodope voices and the sound of the traditional musical instrument "kaba gaida" (fine bagpipe)
•Dinner and overnight in Pamporovo |

Day 04: Pamporovo - The Wonderful Bridges - Plovdiv - Kazanlak |

•In the morning depart to the Wonderful Bridges, one of the most curious natural phenomena of the Rhodopes - a natural rock arches, formed probably thousands of years ago
•Upon arrival in Plovdiv, an ancient Thracian capital and big medieval trade center, discover the Old town by sightseeing tour on-foot
•Visit the Ethnographic Museum
•Continue to Kazanlak, the town known as a center of the rose-oil production in Bulgaria
•Visit the Thracian Tomb (4-3rd century B.C.) and the Ethnographical complex, where you will have the chance to taste a rose jam and liqueur
•Check-in the hotel
•BBQ dinner and folklore performance |

Day 05: Kazanlak - Russian church - Etara - Trjavna |

•Depart to the Balkan Mountain and the town of Trjavna
•On the way photo stop by the memorial Russian church near the village of Shipka
•Continue to Etara, an open-air ethnographic and architectural complex, representing the Bulgarian style of life in the past, culture and traditions
•Depart to Tryavna, a small picturesque town, well-known for its wood-carving and icon-painting school
•Visit the most interesting town’s attraction - the Daskalov`s house and an icon collection
•Dinner and overnight in hotel in Trjavna |

Day 06: Trjavna - Veliko Tarnovo - Arbanassi |

•In the morning depart to Veliko Tarnovo
•Sightseeing tour through the medieval capital of the Second Bulgarian State
•Visit the Tsarevets Fortress and the craftsman’s street Samovodska Charshia
•Continue to Arbanassi - a medieval settlement and an architectural reserve near Veliko Tarnovo
•Walking tour through the museum village Arbanassi
•Visit the church Birth of Christ
•Return to Veliko Tarnovo
•Dinner and overnight |

Day 07: Veliko Tarnovo - Trojan monastery - Sofia |

•After breakfast leaving Veliko Tarnovo
• On the way to Sofia visit the Trojan monastery
•Upon arrival in Sofia - walking sightseeing tour through the very center of the capital – visit one of the finest pieces of architecture on the Balkans and certainly Sofia's crowning glory - the Alexander Nevski Memorial Cathedral, the Rotunda St. George, the church St. Sofia
•Check-in your hotel
•Festive dinner in a typical Bulgarian restaurant with folklore program, including one of the most ancient mysterious rituals on our lands - Fire dancers (barefooted dancers performing on burning embers) |
